Believe it or not, how you start your morning will set the tone for the rest of the day. For most of us, it can be a real struggle to get out of bed while feeling tired and groggy. Waking up on the wrong side of the bed can leave you to dread the day ahead. But you can have the best morning routine for success simply by adding structure and routine to your mornings. 1. Get Off Your Phone

One of the best morning routine for success is to not look at your phone when you first wake up. I know it’s tempting to want to reach for your phone and check your social media, e-mails, the latest news, etc. to see what’s going on in the world.

I have been guilty of doing this more times than I can count. It’s pretty common for most people to do it. But the reality is, it’s not good for you. The reason why is because all of the notifications you receive can lead to stress and anxiety.

For example, you may see someone on social media thriving in their business, but you’re not seeing the same success and you may start to question your whole life. This happens more often than you think and can easily put anyone in a bad mood.

Make yourself a priority when you wake up instead of your phone.

2. Morning Work out Routine

If you love to sleep then the idea of working out first thing in the morning may not sound so appealing. I completely understand because I value my sleep just like anyone else. But I had to get into the habit of exercising in the morning and now it’s routine for me.

Exercising doesn’t mean you have to roll out of bed at 5 a.m. just to go to the gym. You can work out based on your schedule, wherever and whenever you want, even at home.

The great thing about exercising is that there are so many to choose from. For me, versatility is important because I can easily get bored of doing the same exercise routines.

  • Home exercise routines (YouTube, Stream online, DVDs, etc.)
  • Yoga
  • Cardio (Jump-rope, walking, swimming, etc.)
  • Strength training
  • Spin class

We all know that the biggest benefit of exercising is to lose weight. But there’s more! Not only that but working out in the morning can also help encourage self-discipline and routine.

A quote that I like to keep in the back of my mind is “Don’t forget where you came from.” There’s something beautiful about appreciating the small things and what you’ve gone through to get to where you are now. It can be something as simple as maybe you had to rely on friends and family for transportation and now you can afford to buy your own car.

No matter how big or small your gratitude is, you can express it best by writing it in a gratitude journal. When you write down how grateful you are, it increases positivity and reduces stress. It’s also a great way to reflect on life and to see how far you have come.

4. Write A Daily Tasks List

Being an entrepreneur comes with wearing many hats and the need to complete a bunch of tasks. There may be so much to do that It’s almost impossible to remember everything you have to do.

Luckily for you, there is a simple solution.

Before you go to bed, make a to-do list of all the tasks that you have to work on the next day. This will make for the best morning routine for success because it will prevent you from feeling stressed and overwhelmed. By writing out your to-do list, it will help you to be more organized and feel in control.
